Buildings & Structures

Have a seat and enjoy the scenery awhile.  This helping hand is an actual seat that children and adults alike enjoy to take a rest while they visit the Children's Garden at Smiley Park in Van Wert, OH.  This park has lots of activities available including a nice playground, duck pond for fishing with two shelter houses, ball diamonds, tennis courts and basketball court as well as the newly created Children's Garden.  It's a beautiful place to visit.

Whether it's looking straight up at a fire escape, or looking down at interesting doorways, it's always fun to see what I can find to photograph.

The building below is simply called The Castle.  It is also located in Van Wert, OH, as are the wall murals you will see in the photos below.

Cedar Point at Sandusky, OH is a huge amusement park claiming to be the Roller Coaster Capital of the World.  You can see the roller coasters from various locations while touring Port Clinton, OH, and island hopping on the GoodtimeII boat.  Other photos below are also from the Port Clinton, OH area including Marblehead where you see the Marblehead Lighthouse.  With 77 steps to the top of the lighthouse, my only option was to photograph it from outside and below.  No matter where we were while in Port Clinton, OH, if we looked at Lake Erie, somewhere we could see the David-Besse Nuclear Power Plant.  You will find a photo of that here also.  You might even find a photo or two of a ship-wrecked boat turned into a house.
